2nd BBD for Scot

Friday night just around dark Scot shot at what he thought was a nice 10 point. Scot found some good blood and decided to wait till this morning to go track him down. Scot found the deer and spooked him, the deer wasn't dead and ended up running again. Scot then decided to wait till this evening to track him with the hopes the deer would bleed out. Scot got back to the cabin and talked to the neighbor because he felt like the deer ran unto his property. The neighbor suggested to him to go look for it now and not to wait till evening. The neighbor was super nice and offered to help Scot go look for the deer. Scot took him up on his offer and him and his son took Scot on four wheelers to go look for the deer. When they found him the deer was still alive so Scot had to shot him two more times. Scot plans on hunting tomorrow with his bow and hopes to fill his bow tag. This is most likely his last trip for 2009.

2nd to Last Ultra Sound

Today we had our 2nd to last ultra sound. I was so excited to see our ultra sound tech, Lori. I could not wait to find out how much the twins have gained and how they were laying. To my amazement, each twin is weighing in at 4 pounds & 3 ounces. The twins did not move much from the last ultra sound. Their heads are both on my left side and they are laying horizontal. We were able to get some very cool 3D pictures this time around!

After my ultra sound I had a doctor's appointment with my nurse, Cathy & Dr. Siegers. Everything looks great. My blood pressure is good, nothing wrong with my urine, and only slight swelling. We also were able to hear two healthy heart beats again. My uterus is measuring 44 weeks. It is such a blessing from God when we get good reports from the doctor's office.

I will be 32 weeks tomorrow and the twins could come at anytime and they would be okay. Dr. Siegers would love to see me reach 36 to 37 weeks. This would mean the twins would arrive the week before Christmas or the week of Christmas. Unfortunately, Dr. Siegers will be on vacation in Florida during this time. I am really hoping the twins come when Dr. Siegers is in town! This is out of my control and the Lord knows when the right time is for the twins to come into this world.

I am still able to work 30 hours this week and we will review the situation next doctor's appointment on Monday. My goal is to work another 30 hours and to make it till the first week of December. My next ultra sound (if the twins wait that long) is scheduled for Monday, December 14. Lori thinks at that time the twins will be weighing in at 6 pounds.

Thanks for all your prayers and support during this time. We are now on the home stretch!

My AWESOME Family Baby Shower

THANK YOU TO ALL MY FAMILY MEMBERS WHO CAME TO MY SHOWER TODAY! A SPECIAL THANKS TO MY SISTERS AND MOMS FOR MAKING THIS DAY VERY SPECIAL!!!
I am so blessed to have a wonderful family! My sisters, mom, sister-in-laws, and mother-in-law threw me an AWESOME baby shower. The celebration took place in our church basement and we started with a cute game, Pregnancy....How Sweet It Is!!! What you had to do was match up baby terms with names of candy bars. Here are a few examples (answers are at the bottom of this blog):

Baby Terms: Twins / Triplets / Breastfeeding / Girl Names / Dad's Name / Contractions / Conception / Baby poop / Sleepless Nights

Candy Bars: 3 Musketeers / Raisinets / Rocky Road/ Whoppers / Baby Ruth / Skor / Twix / Sugar Daddy / Milky Way

After the game we had a delicious brunch. My mom made egg quiches, my sister, Sarah, made three different types of breads, my mother-in-law brought a huge fresh fruit salad and my sister, Amber provided the orange juice and coffee.

My Sisters

For dessert we had a yummy cake that my sister-in-law, Holly made. The decoration was two onsies, one saying "Born to Shop" in pink and one saying "Born to Hunt" in blue.

After brunch I opened my many great gifts! I was overwhelmed by the generous gifts and thoughtfulness behind each one! The invitations that were sent out asked that they bring a book instead of a card. The Twins will have plenty of reading material to pick from! What a GREAT idea!!!

Here is a list of some of the items we received for the twins: High Chairs, diaper bag filled with the necessities, car seat, bouncy seats, exersaucer, mobile, tummy time mat, onsies, blankets, toys, wipes, diapers, washcloths, diaper caddy, pacifiers, formula dispenser, gift card, changing pad, photo albums, humidifier, bottles, itzbeen baby care timers, Explore & Grow rider, activity gym, sleepers, Memory Game, Learning Bunnies, hooded towels, moisture cream & changing pad.

The Van Dam's
The DeVree's

My Mom, me, Sarah, & Amber

Sarah made these two adorable moose for decorations! They are made out of diapers, pacifiers, baby hat, baby socks, mittens, bibs, & toe separators. They were so sticken cute!
