Is Scot the next Best Baker??
This afternoon Scot stated out of the blue that he wanted to make cookies. I about fell over when he said he was serious about it. I told him great!! You can use one of the Betty Crocker cookie mixes in the pantry. Here is Scot whipping up his first batch of cookies.
After he finished making the cookies out of bag he was explaining to me how that only took 12 minutes and that he should have cookies everyday. I explained to him how it took longer to make homemade cookies from scratch. Scot then decided he was going to make cookies from scratch. It took him a while to pick out the perfect recipe but he selected, World's Best Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Skylar and Alysha watching Daddy in the kitchen. Alysha is making sure Dad follows the recipe correctly.
Finger licking good!!
Before baking time...
The results!
I must say they tasted REALLY good. The best part, I didn't have to make them. After making the cookies from scratch I think Scot realized how much longer it took.

Happy Birthday Scot!!!
Happy 33rd Birthday Scot! We did not do anything crazy for his birthday. Scot leaves tomorrow for the U.P. and he just wanted to relax at home with his family before he left.

Happy First Day of Spring to you all! Today I was reminded that even though the sun was not shining spring is on the way. Below is a pictures of several turkeys that were feeding in the field next to our home.
With the warm weather we have had my tulips are up and will start blooming soon.

Brunch at the Gruppen's
This morning Scot and I were going to attempt taking the girls to lunch after church. However, we got a much better offer to have lunch with the Gruppens. It worked out perfect because the girls were able to spend some time with their cousins and run around. The best part for me was that I did not have to cook anything for lunch!
Thanks Eric and Heidi for working hard in the kitchen!!
The boys (Tristan, Braden, & Jayce Eric) had fun taking turns feeding Skylar. They must have the magic touch because Skylar ate like a rockstar!

Alysha had fun sitting by the bar and she ate like a champ as well!

Beautiful March Day
We were blessed today with gorgeous sunshine and warm weather! Thank you G0d for such a beautiful spring day!!! I can not tell you how GREAT it felt to get outside and go for a walk. Even Trigger was super excited to go!
After our walk we stopped by the barn to visit Scot. Skylar was all over the place checking everything out and picking up scrap wood.
All Alysha wanted to do was sit down and take her shoes off. Of course she had to taste test the sawdust while she was down there. She was a dusty mess by the time we left the barn.
After visiting Scot in the barn we all went outside for awhile to enjoy the spring day. It was fun watching the girls walk around and check everything out.

The girls were even able to try out their tricycles. Right now the girls are still to small for the tricycles but hopefully in two more months they will be pedaling all over the place.
