Now these three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

AVP Johnsonville Hot Winter Nights
Krista, Andrea, and myself went to the VanAndel in Grand Rapids tonight to watch professional beach volleyball. We had a great time. We had no idea who was going to be there, and were excited to see Kerry Walsh and the mens Olympic gold medalist team - Phil Dalhausser & Todd Rogers. I don't think there is an once of fat on any of the players. What a dream job...play volleyball for 4 hours and tour the country........

History Making Day
Today is a day that will go down in history and everyone will remember where they were when The Inauguration of Barack Obama happened. Obama took power as the first black U.S. President today. What a busy day for President Barack Obama and his family. I hope our new President & his staff bring good change for the United States of America during the next four years.

Quote of the Week
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And cover all these virtures put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Splash Universe
This weekend we went to Splash Universe in Shipshewana, IN with the Van Dam family. Scot and I left on Friday night after I got out of work. When we arrived Friday night the kids were already in bed because they spent the afternoon in the water park. So Friday night we caught up with Heidi and Eric while Dad and Mom went to a Christan concert. Saturday we started the morning with a great breakfast buffet. Afterwards we spent a few hours in the water park. We all had an AWESOME time in the water park.
After the water park, Mom and I did some shopping downtown, the boys drove around to check out the Amish way of life, and Heidi stayed with Jayce while he took a nap. At night we had dinner at Blue Gate Restaurant. The home style dinner was Delicious and I think we all walked out hoping we wore elastic pants. Good thing the diet doesn't start till Monday :)
After dinner the die hards, Heidi, Jayce, & Tristan went back to the water park. Braden, Scot, and Dad played checkers and the rest of us just chilled. What a fun way to start 2009!!!

Nyland Christmas Party
This past Tuesday, December 30, we celebrated our last Christmas Party for 2008 with the Nyland family. When we were cleaning up dinner Scot and our nephews went down stairs and did a little wrestling. I am not sure who was more tired, Scot or the boys. After the Christmas presents were opened we played BINGO.
