This afternoon Scot stated out of the blue that he wanted to make cookies. I about fell over when he said he was serious about it. I told him great!! You can use one of the Betty Crocker cookie mixes in the pantry. Here is Scot whipping up his first batch of cookies.
After he finished making the cookies out of bag he was explaining to me how that only took 12 minutes and that he should have cookies everyday. I explained to him how it took longer to make homemade cookies from scratch. Scot then decided he was going to make cookies from scratch. It took him a while to pick out the perfect recipe but he selected, World's Best Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I must say they tasted REALLY good. The best part, I didn't have to make them. After making the cookies from scratch I think Scot realized how much longer it took.

Wow, a real "Bobby" Crocker! Love that your getting your hands dirty Scot! Isn't baking fun? And...you can even like the beaters because YOU made it! You might need to share with your daughters because that really is the best part of baking! Love that you are making great memories! Reese loves to bake with Eric! So cool! Can't wait to try one of your "from scratch" cookies this summer!
